Hawaii Panic Attack!

Jeremiah 20:3 – And it came to pass on the morrow, that Pashur brought forth Jeremiah out of the stocks. Then said Jeremiah unto him, The Lord hath not called thy name Pashur, but Magormissabib (definition: terror all around).

That is what happened Saturday morning: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/hawaii-ballistic-missile-threat-alert-phones-was-false-alarm-officials-n837511

Let us quote from that article to flesh out the amazing work done here by the God of Westboro Baptist Church…

“Hawaii residents were thrown into a panic Saturday morning after an emergency alert was mistakenly sent, warning them to “seek immediate shelter” from a ballistic missile threat, and it took emergency officials 38 minutes to send a new alert to mobile phones that the threat was a false alarm… Officials quickly confirmed with the military’s U.S. Pacific Command that there was no missile threat, and at 8:20 a.m., the state’s Emergency Management Agency followed up in a tweet: “NO missile threat to Hawaii.” A similar alert was sent to cellphones at 8:45 a.m., 38 minutes after the first mobile alert… Sen. Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii, blasted the mistake as “totally inexcusable” and told MSNBC what happened was “an abomination.” “We’re looking for some quick and aggressive accountability … we need an emergency notification system we can rely on 100 percent of the time,” Schatz said.”

It prompted this response from some famous types, like Jim Carrey: http://hollywoodlife.com/2018/01/14/jim-carrey-hawaii-ballistic-missile-minutes-live/

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-42680070

We are here to tell you that God sent the false alarm, and it is the very picture of perfection in all its parts and pieces.

We sit quietly waiting for more glorious reminders of this fact: Psalms 127:1 Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman (or super-expensive electronic notification system) waketh but in vain.

Amen, and AMEN!

The Very Premise Of The Transgender Movement Seeks To Undo The Basic Principles Of Existence Put In Place By God

A person is what that person is.
A person is not what that person is not.

Dear WBC,

I am a junior in high school. I want to discuss a recent press release entitled “WBC to Picket Alex Gino and the March of Tranny Filth in Wichita, KS.” I believe there is a misleading sentence: “The tranny movement is based upon  deep seated hatred for God and His commandments.”

The National Center for Transgender Equality is the nation’s leading organization for transgender equality, and therefore could easily be considered the leading organization of the transgender rights movement in America. According to their mission statement, their organization is “devoted to ending discrimination and violence against transgender people through education and advocacy on national issues of importance to transgender people.” Nowhere within this mission statement is a hatred for God and His commandments mentioned, and action against violence and discrimination is supported within the Bible. This support is seen in:

Galatians 6:1  Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

John 13:34  A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Romans 14:13  Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.

The transgender rights movement within the United States is not based upon a hatred for God or His commandments. It is based upon a desire for a society that does not discriminate on the basis of gender identity.

Kendall

Greetings Kendall,

At Westboro Baptist Church, we do not cater to anyone’s sins or their subjective sense of reality (i.e. their delusions that they are anything other than what God created them to be, and in fact are nothing). We recognize the fundamentals of the objective reality that God has put into place regarding the subject of your letter. Allow me to enumerate those fundamentals thusly:

A person is what that person is.

A person is not what that person is not.

Those are the rules. We did not make them. ‘Nowhere within this mission statement is a hatred for God and His commandments mentioned…’ On the contrary, the very premise of the transgender movement seeks to undo these basic principles of existence put in place and maintained by that one and only sovereign King who created all things after His own counsel, and by His own will, and for His own pleasure. You cannot change your chromosomes. God will not change your chromosomes. God does not care what you think you are. Nor should He. Therefore, we say your problem is not with our flier, but is, in fact, with God. Consider the scripture:

1 John 5:3  For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Acts 17:24  God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

25  Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

26  And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

27  That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us.

God determined the bounds of the habitations of all creation in the counsel halls of eternity before the world began.

From your letter:  ‘…action against violence and discrimination is supported within the Bible.’

Allow me to elucidate you regarding the nature of violence and discrimination as it pertains to transgenderism and the word of God. Pursuant to the scriptural reasoning stated above, transgenderism is violence: it is violence to God, and it discriminates against righteousness to sanitize and legitimize sin. The proper action to take against this violence (to the defense of anything lovely, or good, or righteous) is identified plainly in the word of God.

See? Your thinking is exactly backwards. But rejoice, for the Lord has given His word to help

Regarding Galatians 6:1 and John 13:34 which say:

Galatians 6:1  Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

John 13:34  A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Indeed, when one’s brother is caught in a sin, you that are spiritual restore him. But how? How do you restore him, and effectually love him as Christ loved us? That is to say:  how does the scripture define love?

Leviticus 19:17-18  17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. 18  Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

You restore your brother by way of sound, scriptural counsel. You do not cater to his sins, or encourage him in wrongdoing. You warn him that his sin is going to take him to Hell, and he needs to repent.

Finally, regarding Romans 13:14, which says:

Romans 14:13  Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.

These words apparently do not mean what you say they mean. First: if you look at the surrounding context, this is clearly talking about censoriously condemning (judging) your brother based on things that are not, on their face, sinful. For instance:

Romans 14:2  For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. 3  Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.

Lastly, encouraging outright sin against God is casting a stumblingblock in your brother’s way.

Thank you for writing.
