Do Not Be Deceived: Billy Graham Lied On God For Money – Making Him A Spiritual Whore And Most Likely In Hell

Billy Graham was not a good and faithful servant. He was a wolf in sheep’s clothing, as our Savior warned us about. “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits.” (Matthew 7:15-16)

This is a transcript of Westboro Baptist Church’s latest video production, which you can watch here: http://www.godhatesfags.com/video/videonews.html

Billy Graham, known as “America’s Pastor,” died on February 21, 2018, at the age of 99.  People across the world are now singing his praises, and a common theme is captured in a statement by Vice President Mike Pence:  “Billy Graham’s ministry for the gospel of Jesus Christ and his matchless voice changed the lives of millions.  We mourn his passing but I know with absolute certainty that today he heard those words, ‘well done good and faithful servant.’  Thank you Billy Graham.  God bless you.”  His dead body is on display in North Carolina, and on Wednesday, his body will be transported to Washington DC, to become only the 4th private citizen to ever lie in honor in the US Capital Rotunda.

If we knew nothing else about Billy Graham, the response to his death is a guarantee that he was a false prophet:

“Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.” (Luke 6:22)

He no doubt spoke a lot of truth, just like all wolves in sheep’s clothing do, but the man preached a false gospel.  Gospel preaching is not about manipulating peoples’ emotions while you make an altar call with some maudlin hymn playing in the background.  It is not about having a person recite some saccharine-laced prayer and then telling them that now they are born again.  The gospel message is a command from the King of kings and Lord of lords to repent and believe on the Lord Jesus, and it is a thing that is only effectual if that King first performs a supernatural act in your heart.  Being born again is not something that you do…it is something that God does.

I will give 3 examples of Billy Graham’s lies.

Example #1:

Billy Graham taught that all men long for goodness, each of us has a hunger for God, and all you have to do is exercise your free will, make a decision for Christ, and allow Him to follow through with His plan that He has for your life.  This is so wrong on so many levels.  Men do not long for goodness.  Men do not hunger for God.  Men do not have a free will, and the decision on whether you are saved or not is not yours to make.  Listen.

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”  (Romans 3:10-12)

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:12-13)

“So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy… Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.” (Romans 9:16,18)

Example #2:

Billy Graham taught that God loves everyone and that Jesus died for everyone, and in fact, His love is so absolute that you don’t have to have ever even heard of Jesus Christ to be saved.  Listen:  God does not love everyone – He hated Esau (Romans 9:13).  Jesus did not die for everyone – the good shepherd giveth His life for the sheep, and only the sheep (John 10:11).  And if someone asks you if good Jews, Buddhists, Moslems, Hindus, and secular people can go to heaven, the correct answer is a resounding no!  The correct answer is “there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12).  The correct answer is “the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ” (2 Thessalonians 1:7-8).  Billy Graham’s answer to that question was:  “Those are decisions only the Lord will make. It would be foolish for me to speculate on who will be there and who won’t … I don’t want to speculate about all that. I believe the love of God is absolute. He said he gave his son for the whole world, and I think he loves everybody regardless of what label they have.”

Example #3:

Billy Graham refused to preach against the sins of his day.  He called issues like abortion and sodomy “hot-button issues” and said that he wouldn’t talk about them because “it divides the audience.” The translation of that is “if I preach against specific sins, I’m going to upset people, and then they’ll stop coming to my crusades and filling my coffers with money.  So I’ll just speak in very generic terms about sins, so nobody will know what I’m talking about.”  The command is “Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.” (Isaiah 58:1) and “Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations” (Ezekiel 16:2).  You CANNOT preach the gospel unless you are clearly preaching against sin:  “Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.” (1 Timothy 1:9-11).

Westboro Baptist Church, therefore, will be preaching, Lord willing, at the funeral of Billy Graham on March 2, 2018, so that a little bit of truth might shine forth on the sea of lies currently encircling the globe.  Our prayer is that by the foolishness of our preaching, as described in 1 Corinthians 1, one of God’s sheep will be called forth.

Amen.
